chhatrapati shivaji maharaj university, also known as csmu, was established in 2018 as a private university in navi mumbai, maharashtra. the all india council for technical education approves the university and is recognised by the union grants commission, association of indian universities (aiu), and pharmacy council of india (pci). chhatrapati shivaji maharaj university offers a total of 45 courses at certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level. the courses are offered in commerce ; banking, management, engineering, law, education, information technology, pharmacy, hotel management, media ; mass communication, etc.â 

csmu admissions are based on the csmu entrance examination (csmuee) at the university campus. candidates can be exempted from the entrance exam if they have a scorecard of national level entrance exam such as jee/mht cet/cuet for b.tech, cat/mat for mba, nata for b.arch, cuet for ug courses, etc. the university also offers several scholarships to its students on the basis of academic records, family income, etc. as per chhatrapati shivaji maharaj university placements 2024, over 250 students were placed and offered packages above rs 8 lpa. the campus offers facilities such as a hostel, mess, canteen, auditorium, medical assistance, sports ; parking facility, laboratories, etc.â
