amity university punjab was established in 2021 by the not-for-profit amity foundation. it is the eleventh university established by the amity group. with a vast hi-tech campus of 40 acres, the university is located 10 minutes away from the chandigarh international airport. the university is recognised by ugc (university grants commission). it is asia's only not-for-profit university to get the highest accreditations by wasc (western association of schools and colleges), the usa, and the qaa (quality assurance agency for higher education), uk. the university is also accredited with an a+ grade by naac and is a member of the association of indian universities.â 

amity university punjab is a multidisciplinary university offering more than 90 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. the university has tied up with over 100 international universities, including the university of oxford, stanford university, columbia university, mit, harvard university, and the queen mary university of london.

the university is ranked amongst the top 3% of universities globally by the qs university rankings. it is also ranked 1st not-for-profit private university as per india today's university rankings and listed as one of india's top universities with innovation achievements by ariia. the university has the mission to “change the world, together” and constantly strives to achieve it with quality education.
