How to Play Chess

Chess is played on an 8x8 grid between two players: White and Black.
The objective is to checkmate your opponent's king.
Each type of piece moves differently. Familiarize yourself with their movements.
Players take turns to move one piece at a time.
The game can end in checkmate, stalemate, or draw.

Click on a piece to see its valid moves highlighted on the board.
Click on a highlighted square to move the selected piece there.
To deselect a piece, click on it again or select another piece of the same color.
